Army All - American Marching Band Selects Jupiter, Mapex and Majestic

AUSTIN, TEXAS–October 21, 2008 –Jupiter Band Instruments, Inc. has been selected as the exclusive instrument provider for the 2009 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band. In a partnership with SportsLink, the owner and producer of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, Jupiter woodwinds and brass, Mapex drums and Majestic field percussion will be used by the 2009 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band performers.

The second-annual All-American Marching Band complements the U.S. Army All-American Bowl game. Student musicians will participate in a series of clinics and rehearsals in the days prior to the event which culminates with a marching performance during halftime on game day January 3rd, 2009 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX. The bowl game and a few minutes of the halftime performance will be televised on NBC, with a webcast of the entire halftime marching performance on www.banddirector.com  following the game.

High school juniors are nominated by their music teachers to be part of the All-American band during their senior year on the merits of exceptional musicianship, marching achievement, character, and leadership. As part of the 2009 All-American Marching Band experience, student musicians will participate in clinics lead by top ranked high school and college music directors including directors from Western Carolina University, University of Tennessee at Martin and Bowling Green State University.
