FJM Summer Clinics offer an all-inclusive curriculum for marching and performing units. You can send members of your band and auxiliary units to the same clinic, building pride and unity within your group. We offer differentiated instruction to develop strong fundamental skills in each curriculum we offer to students of all levels and backgrounds. Our curriculum is designed and developed by a team of active career educators, musicians, and performers to provide the most up-to-date, extensive, educationally sound, and engaging experience for drum majors, section and squad leaders, marching band musicians, color guard, dance team, majorettes, and baton twirling students. The K-State music camp is designed to provide the finest possible experience for young instrumental musicians, grades 5-10. Campers are placed into one of two concert bands based on auditions. All campers participate in at least one chamber ensemble and are then given additional participation options that included theory courses, conducting class, and jazz ensemble. The camp staff is comprised of the finest musicians and teachers from the area, chosen for their interest and ability to inspire and teach young musicians. This year's camp conductors are Dr. Jay Gilbert from Doane College in Crete, NE and Dr. Joe Shively from Kansas State University.

• The Pyware workshop will be one day, Monday, June 27, 2016. If you are experienced with Pyware, this day is not necessary. • The Drill Designing workshop will be four days Tuesday - Friday June 28 - July 1. Come prepared with information to begin designing your marching show, including instrumentation, scores and recordings of music, laptop computer with mouse and Pyware vers. 7 or 8. These Workshops are for Band Directors, Drill Designers University Directors, and College Students.You will learn the latest techniques and concepts necessary to design your own contemporary drills. Dan Ryder has experience presenting Drill Designing Workshops throughout the country for over 30 years. He has produced outstanding drill designers from his workshops.
