I have 30 successful years as a band director in Michigan. My concert bands, jazz bands and marching bands have straight division I's for many years and have won numerous regional contests and festivals. I want to move to another part of the country to teach. Any ideas you may have about areas you are familiar with that need band directors would be appreciated.
I have made preliminary contact with Philadelphia, Memphis, and Las Vegas....any opinions about these?

Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I'd rather teach middle school or be a high school assistant than be the head guy.
