Bruce Salyers has joined Pro-Mark as the head of the Houston-based company’s new mallet department. Bruce is a former percussion instructor and band director with an active performing background including stints with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, the Pine Bluff Orchestra, and Northeast Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed with the United States Air Force Band and has presented clinics at many PAS Days of Percussion. Bruce is also a published author with titles being published by both HoneyRock Publishing and Big Island Music. His responsibilities at Pro-Mark will include overseeing the company’s mallet wrapping operation as well as other production related activities.
T.R. Fitz-Gibbon is Pro-Mark’s new in-house Web Manager. T.R.s’ background includes degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, as well as a Masters in Artificial Intelligence. He has an extensive musical background having marched for seven years with the Madison Scouts including 2 years as the corps’ drum major. In addition, T.R. has taught and/or arranged for a number of drum corps and marching bands including the Madison Scouts, Capital Sound, University of Wisconsin – Whitewater Marching Band and Timber Creek High School Marching Band. He is the co-designer of Pro-Mark’s popular “Fitz Stick”, and is an endorser of Ludwig-Musser Percussion.
